Ah yeah, Jawaballs blog is what inspired me to take up their mantle! haha. They have been a bit more fun than my Necron, but lack a certain something. But all is well with the upcming codex! Anyhow, I dunno if you saw it yet, but I just posted a battle report, or more of an observation report, against a Chaos army with two different lists. Any insights would be great!

I certainly think Baals have plenty of positives going for them, especially with heavy flamers. I guess your choice of build comes down to how you prefer to play.

Hmm, interesting ideas. I myself am just starting Blood Angels and have 4 games under my belt. I won a 1500pt vs Tau as well, and drew against the same guy playing Nids once, and Chaos twice. The second guy has been playing for over a year or two, so is infinitely more tactical and strategic than I in 40k, but I can still hold my own.

Ummm... I am 32 years old, and I've had a computer since I was 8. That means that I've used computers for 75% of my life. Yet... maybe I'm old fashioned, because I much prefer a physical book. Moreover, I think that only a book made of paper is properly a book, with pdfs being... pdfs. It's not the same. For me, rummaging through the pages of a book is a pleasure in itself.

Thanks - I've kind of made a decision to use the lipped bases seen on Privateer Press and Darkage miniatures for my RPG minis.

They make them 'pop' a bit more - for 40k and GW games I'll be sticking to the standard sizes as I prefer them for larger scale gaming (or creeping close to scenery as is the case for Necromunda).

Thanks for dropping by Mike. It'll probably be a case of progress in 'fits and starts' due to life just getting in the way but I hope to be in a position to play a game with painted minis within the next month.

I figured showing the minis next to a Space Marine was the easiest way to show casual observers how big they are - most tabletop gamers know how big a GW mini is. :)

You're right in that they've only recently (relatively speaking) become fashionable. I think the fact that Paul Sawyer (former editor of White Dwarf) adopted them as his own pulled them into focus at GW several years back and since then they've been enjoying some prime time.
